We are all a little weird and life's a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirndess and call it love.

Allison's newest trick!!

Allison has been a bit confused with the new baby and all the plugs everywhere. She keeps trying to take her brother's plug...and she has now resorted to stuffing as many in her mouth as possible!!!! Life is so exciting with sweet babies around.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!! We had a wonderful day with Brett, Allison and Grandma Dolly, who got snowed in and couldn't leave (darn!!).

All We Want for Christmas Is...

The arrival of a sweet baby boy!!! Brett Michael Wenzel was born on December 22nd 2009 at 11:04 am. He weighed 8 pounds and 1 ounce and was 21 inches long. Baby and family are doing very well. Our little Allison said "Baby!" when she saw him, and then proceeded to "beep" his nose and growl at the bear on his shirt.

Happy Birthday Allison... the cake and after bath

We had a great time celebrating Allison's first birthday... We had cake and presents. Aunt Denise came up from New Mexico to join in the festivities... and she made Allison's fun B-day cake out of cupcakes!!!!

Allison enjoys feeding her daddy!!!

Happy Birthday Allison Continued....

The best part about the birthday party was the "Happy Birthday" sign... imagine that!

Perhaps you are wondering what Tinkerbell is looking at so intently as Allison is about the snap the party hat on her head.... Tinkerbell can always be convinced to do anything when there is a treat involved....so we set one infront of her so she would "smile" for the camera and leave the party hat on her head.

LEAVES!!!!

Allison had her first "playing in the leaves" experience with her cousins. She really enjoyed herself:)

Happy Thanksgiving

We had a very happy Thanksgiving! Cole's family came from New Mexico to stay with us! We were blessed to go and have family pictures taken. It was quite an experience trying to get everyone to smile at the same time. Let's just say we will take what we can get:)

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween. Allison turned out to be a pretty cute chicken!! She loved wearing the costume, as you can tell from the pictures. She wouldn't sit still for the Halloween photo-shoot, so Daddy had to come and help. Sometimes Mom gets a little too excited about taking pictures. I suppose Allison will just have to get used to it.

The Many Adventures of Allison and Tink

We love our dog Tinkerbell. She is quite annoying at times, so it is wonderful that she now has our little Allison to annoy her. Allison pulls at Tink's fur, yells at her, takes her ball, tries to use her ear as a teething ring, picks at individual whiskers on her face, and puts her face on Tinkerbell's nose with hopes that she might receive a little lick. Tinkerbell just lays there and takes it and takes it. This must be why "All Dogs Go to Heaven..." Life is so much fun when there are dogs AND kids!!

Allison's new trick...

Allison can now pull herself up onto things... couches, Mom, Dad, the stairs, etc... We are not sure whether to be excited or nervous about her new mobility:) Life is definitely an adventure.

Let's go to the zoo!!!

We took Allison to the zoo for the first time on Saturday. We were so excited to take her that we woke her up early from her nap. She really enjoyed the birds because she could see them move. Manhattan Sunset Zoo is not very big, but we spent two hours there. That could be due to the fact that Daddy had to read ALL of the signs, but I was told that is what Dads do.

Allison trying to climb in the pen with the emu.

Allison really loved the ducks and flamingos

This was the chimpanzee exhibit. There was a cute mama chimp holding her sweet baby down in the front (no, I am not talking about Allison and me:)

Hair-do's and don'ts

So we had our first tiny rubber band experiences. Allison has done well. Ponytails and pigtails are great until it is time to take out the rubber bands and the end of the day. Let's just say mommy needs some practice. Meanwhile...isn't her hair cute:)
