We are all a little weird and life's a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirndess and call it love.

The Wenzel Family Reunion

We had a great time with John, Dolly, Megan (Memo) and Cal! We went to the Omaha zoo, the Omaha Temple, and to the Reunion in South Dakota.

Kaysha's Wedding Weekend:) July 2nd-3rd

We had a great time spending time with family. We took the kids to Build-A-Bear Workshop, ate great food, attempted family pictures, got to see Chris and Jess and even made a surprise wedding cake:)

Brett with his cousin Kason:) Two very big boys:):) We were so glad we got to see Chris and Jess.

Riding a few rides at the mall:)

Our Family Picture attempts. Notice Brett's inability to fit into his pants.

We a great time in Albuquerque for Kaysha's Wedding!

Las Cruces and the Lake

We were in Las Cruces and at the lake from June 27th to July 1st. We had a great time with our family.

Finally... Our trip to Grandma and Grandpa Leigh's

We had a great time and my children were spoiled rotten by the aunts and Grandma and Grandpa. It was a great few days that we got to spend with them.

Allison is eating her first Grandma Leigh waffle. She liked it so much she requested them several times while we were there.

Fun and the Fair

Our kiddos experienced their first fair. Brett even wore his first pair of boots and wrangler jeans!!! Allison was scared of the sheep, but liked the bunnies and ducks. Our visit was somewhat short lived due to the extreme heat/humidity. Poor little Allison was pouring sweat by the time we left.

Skills, skills, and more skills

My children are very talented... I know I know, how talented can a 6 month and 19 month old be?

Brett's talents:
1. My little man can now sit up without support. He can even wave his arms around a little bit before he falls over.

2. He is consistently saying "Da! Da!" He also loves to hear his own voice and see how loud he can be.

Allison's talents:
1. Allison has recently begun reporting to us after she poops. She waves her hand in front of her nose and says "Phew, Phew." Even more skillful, she has begun telling us BEFORE she poops. I think it may be time for a potty chair.

2. Allison has the greatest talent of all, making her Daddy smile even when he is irritated or trying to be firm. Example: Today he was telling her she needed to sit, not stand on the couch. He even had his finger in her face....and what does she do???? She leans over an kisses him right on the lips. :)
