Sing It

Santa brought Allison a very fun Wii Disney Sing it game... as you can tell, they've had a great time.

Merry Christmas to All.....

We decided to celebrate Christmas a day early this year. We started our festivities last night by reading the Christmas story and driving around looking at Christmas lights while eating pizza. There were some amazing lights to see here in Manhattan. Then of course Santa came last night. The kids have had a blast celebrating today and playing with their new toys.

Last night after Santa came....

I want cake

Happy Birthday to our sweet baby boy! We can't believe he is already two. He told me that he wanted cake ("Iant Cake").... so we made a cake. He scarfed down his dinner and ate a good sized piece. We love you Brett.....

Santa's helper....

Santa's helper (aka Cole) has been hard and work in the basement. My parents brought me my old dollhouse and I was going to fix it up a bit and give it to Allison for Christmas. Then Cole got a hold of the dollhouse. We've had extreme home makeover dollhouse edition. I wish we had the before pictures, but they were lost when my computer died. Just try to picture a well loved and well used 23 year old house with flowered wall paper and upholstery carpet. Here is the inside of the house.... compliments of Cole the interior designer. More pictures to come soon.....
He ripped out all the old wall paper and carpet and added "tile" in the bathroom, wood floor in the kitchen and carpet for the bedroom and living room. I did contribute by painting the interior walls:) We are so excited to give it to her.

Mom, "Put your clothes on Allison."
Allison, "Yes, your majesty." (I promise I don't require my children to call me that)

Later that day.....
Allison, "After Daddy studies well, it will be Christmas."
Mom, "Yes baby, it will be Christmas." (Where does she come up with this stuff?)

Even later that day...
(After seeing a Great Dane at the vet school). Allison, "MOM! That dog is as big as my car!!!"

Our extra special birthday party for our extra special babies

Allison has been asking about her birthday party for MONTHS now. We were going to have it on the 19th of December, found out "Ruthie" and "Mr. Thomas" couldn't come then. Allison was VERY set on them being there so we changed the date at the last minute to Sunday December 4th. We had a GREAT time, as you can tell from the pictures! Thanks to EVERYONE who made Allison and Brett's birthday party extra special!

Happy Birthday Grandma Dolly

Halloween!!!!!

This year, Allison decided to be Cinderella (big surprise) and Brett was the designated Mickey Mouse! We went to the church party and they had a blast. Brett got really into the whole trick or treating thing and got VERY upset with Cole when he tried to help him by holding his treat bucket. The bucket has been sitting on our counter top for days, and Brett frequently requests "Bucket" so he can look through his goods and pick something to eat! After the church party, Cole decided he needed Long John Silvers, SO we went. Allison had to go potty, so she went in with me to get the food. The people in the restaurant oohed and aahed over her Cinderella costume. She even had a conversation with a man who asked, "Did you go to a ball tonight?" To which she replied "yes!" She ended up with a free kid's meal and a balloon. What a girl.

Things to look forward to....

Michelle (a lady from church) asked me if I would do her hair for her husband's military ball. So, I brought my lovely kiddos over to her house to play with hers while we got to work :) We had a lot of fun, and the kids even behaved themselves!! I believe that there are military balls at least once a year, and people are pretty well expected to go- Now... try to imagine the Wenzels (Cole Wenzel to be exact) going to a ball......HA! I think it will be a blast someday to be all dressed up with somewhere to go. And I think he will be quite handsome dressed up in his uniform. It will look something like the uniform Scott is wearing in the picture below. Here is a picture of the finished hair product! haha-

Out of the Mouth of Allison

Little miss Allison Jenna has had a lot to say as of late. Here are just a few (please note that most are directed at me :):)

Allison to Mom: "I'm gonna punch you in the face!" (Cole may need to start doing things with his daughter other than wrestling, tackle football, ultimate fighting....etc)

Allison to Mom: "Don't be grumpy. Don't freak out mommy."

Allison to Mom: "Momma, you're a CRAAAZY woman."

and my favorite......
Allison: "Momma, I see grandpa John?"
Momma: "Sorry baby, he is at home."
Allison: "At my house?"
Momma: "No baby, he is in New Mexico."
Allison: "in Mexico??? With Uncle RaRa?"

hahaha...... a few days later...
Allison: "Momma, I need to go to Mexico to see Grandpa."
Momma, "Oh really."

a little while after that....
Allison: "Momma, I need to go see TWO grandpas."
There you have it grandpas, at least you know a little girl in Kansas is thinking about you:)

Popcorn Poppin...

Grandma Dolly and Grandpa John brought us their old popcorn machine! The kids LOVE IT, as you can tell.

Cole stayed home from church with a migraine on Sunday.... .......... (Allison) "Momma, daddy be sooo excited to see me. I make him feel all better." When we got home, she crawled up on the couch and snuggled with him. I think he really was all better.
